DETROIT – Don't expect much sunshine today because a snow maker racing through SW Michigan and Indiana will spread overcast skies into Metro Detroit.
But, we will avoid that snow here today. Highs will stay in the mid to maybe upper 30s on a chilly Monday. Winds will be light NE 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow will be a colder start in the teens, but a warmer finish with more sunshine.
After the chilly start, highs will rebound to near or slightly above 40 degrees with mostly sunny skies most of the day.
Tuesday night will be dry, but a wintry mix will be working in from the south early on Wednesday morning.
We will wake up to a mess on Wednesday morning with freezing rain and/or snow possible by 4am around SE Michigan.
But, warmer air will move in with this storm and should change that morning mix over to plain rain showers on Wednesday as highs climb back into the mid to upper 50s.
It will be a very windy day too with winds SW 15-25 mph gusting even stronger. Keep the umbrella and snow scraper handy for later in the week.
We will likely see a few light snow showers on Thursday morning and then another chance for light rain showers to mix in as highs will reach into the mid 40s or slightly warmer.
We could get a light dusting of snow on Thursday before any change over.
