Mid 80s with sun, light winds today in metro Detroit

Dense fog advisory expires at 9 a.m.

Detroit – Dense Fog Advisory for all of SE Michigan this morning until 9 a.m.

That means visibility will be down to ¼ mile or less in many areas which makes morning driving a bit more tricky. Give yourselves extra time on the roads before 9 a.m.

Hazy sunshine through the 9 a.m. to noon timeframe and warming nicely. It's going to be a very warm or hot week. Highs today hit the mid 80s with mostly sunny skies and light winds SW 5-10 mph.

We may see more fog Tuesday morning with light winds and humidity on the rise. Highs tomorrow into the upper 80s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Winds SW 5-15 mph may gust a bit stronger at times.

We should see some 90 degree temps around metro Detroit by Wednesday and still on the muggy side. The last week of summer break will not disappoint with upper 80s midweek back down to mid 80s into the weekend.

There are no great rain threats this week, but with the heat building -- we will likely see a few pop up thundershowers late Tuesday or Wednesday. The next good chance for storms comes late day on Labor Day Monday.
