Drivers deal with slick conditions after snowstorm

Quick-moving storm dumps inches of snow in Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. – Saturday's quick-moving storm dumped inches of snow in Livingston County and there were plenty of drivers who lost control.

Whether drivers were on the freeway or surface streets, it was a dicey drive.

Corrigan Towing fielded about 100 calls in the first few hours of the storm, making it one of its busiest nights ever.

As the snow kept falling, more than a dozen wreckers were out helping emergency responders and stranded drivers.

A newlywed couple bought two shovels Saturday and decided to tackle the snow as a team. After more than two hours outside, they figure they'll dig out their car Sunday.

Across the street, one man was clearing his third property of the night.

With 20 homes on his route, he's betting on the brand-new snowblower he bought Saturday.
