Drying out Monday following overnight storms

DETROIT – What a night! Several reports of severe weather in the area and the rest of your Monday will be mostly dry.

Two cold fronts to discuss: the first one is pushing through this pushing those storms south and east out of our area. So, we will start drying out and seeing some sun busting through later this morning. Highs will hit the low to mid 80s this afternoon around Metro Detroit with winds kicking up from time to time W 5-15mph with a few gusts over 20mph.

The second cold front may produce an isolated rain and/or thundershower after 2pm but don't cancel any outdoor activities. We'll update you on Local 4 News through the morning and right here on line.

Highs tomorrow will be near 80 degrees with mostly sunny skies. There's a slight chance for a shower or two up in The Thumb Region with lesser chances here around the closer suburbs of Detroit. Those showers would be in the mid afternoon, weak, and short lived. Tomorrow will be breezy at times with winds WNW 5-15 mph and stronger gusts.

Temps midweek will be in the 60s and 70s. We will likely see some lows dipping down into the 50s as highs will stay in the mid to upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday with a shot at 80 degrees again by Friday. Not much wet weather in the week ahead.
