DETROIT -

Due to any thunderstorms or strong wind gusts that may occur Thursday, there is a potential that winds may bring down trees and power lines overnight.

DTE Energy said they are expecting thunderstorms Thursday with wind gusts of up to 45 mph in the evening.

Because of this, DTE Energy is cautioning trick-or-treaters and their family members to be aware come trick-or-treating time, mostly between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

DTE Energy said it wants to make sure everyone remains safe as they make their rounds Thursday night.

Should there be any trees or power lines down, DTE Energy is urging customers to forego Halloween rounds rather than making risk with a downed power line.
