Friday evening is warm and wonderful Temps will hover just above and below 80 degrees during the start of the 7:10pm ET Tigers' game against the Angels at Comerica Park. Baseball fans will need their cameras not only to document Detroit's play on the field but the gorgeous 8:16pm ET sunset.

Skies remain fair, and it will be mild to cool Friday night. Overnight lows will be in the middle 60s in the city and in the low 60s in surrounding neighborhoods.

Saturday will be partly sunny and warm. Highs will be near 85 degrees. Although humidity will remain seasonable, it's important to stay hydrated and make sure pets have plenty of water to drink and stay far away from empty vehicles.

Most of Saturday will be dry and perfect for hydroplane and NASCAR fans. Michigan 400 activity will be taking place at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Jackson. Hydrofest is happening in and along the Detroit River. It will not be a wash-out for those events, but there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing and racing across the region as early as 4pm ET in Jackson. The Motown area will experience stormy, rainy conditions after 5pm ET.

There is a "Marginal Risk" of strong to severe weather. Everyone must be on guard for heavy downpours, frequent lightning and damaging wind and hail late Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.

Sunday will be partly sunny with showers and storms possible, again. Highs will be in the middle and upper 80s.

The last few days of August and first few days of September will be similar. Skies will be mostly sunny Monday through Friday. Highs will be in the low 80s. Lows will be in the 60s. This is the perfect opportunity to head to the beach or hit the pool before going back to school regularly.
