Fall sunshine and warmth on the way

Fall sunshine will warm us up

DETROIT – We are in the midst of a beautiful early fall stretch.

Our morning temps are mainly in the mid and upper 40s with some areas of light fog where the cooler air pools in the usual areas (Port Huron, Ann Arbor, Howell). You can expect gorgeous fall sunshine warming us to near 70 degrees this afternoon. Winds will be light on your Wednesday SE 4-8 mph.

Expect areas of thicker morning fog on Thursday and Friday. Lows in the 40s and highs near 70 degrees or a bit warmer to end the work and school week.

The weekend outlook is mostly good. That means, Saturday will be beautiful in the low 70s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Sunday morning a weak cold front brushes through bringing a few showers early. But most of the day will be dry with highs in the upper 60s.
