Flood warnings issued in Metro Detroit

Flood warnings, watches issued for several SE Michigan counties

DETROIT - Flood warnings have been issued for Macomb and Wayne counties.

Several other Metro Detroit counties, including Washtenaw and Oakland, are under flood watches.

The National Weather Service says the Clinton River is under a flood warning in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township. The Wayne County flood warning is for the Lower Rouge River in Inkster and Dearborn and the Rouge River in Detroit.

The warnings will last until further notice.

Storms accompanied by heavy rain moved through the area on Thursday.
