Flood Watch in effect for most of southeast Michigan through Friday evening

Flood Warning in effect for the Clinton River near Sterling Heights and Clinton

Rainfall estimates are nearing 6 inches in less than 36 hours!  Since this morning’s deluge on our Metro Zone, the rain has moved in and moved out in quicker waves.  We’re likely to see this pattern repeat itself for the rest of the week.

Tonight, periods of rain continue.  Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees.

Friday we’ll see more of the same… waves of rain through the day.  But there are indications that we can see another persistent band of continuous rain in our North Zone by Friday night.

Saturday could give us a mainly dry morning before showers return in the afternoon and evening.  Sunday, the low pressure center driving all this rain will finally weaken and move north, but not before leaving some scattered showers behind.  It still looks like Monday will be our first dry day in the forecast.   High temperatures move back above average next week with plenty of sunshine.
