Fog and spotty showers across SE Michigan

Patchy fog around Metro Detroit this morning from some of those Thursday soakers, so be careful on your early morning drive.

Temps are in the mid 60s as you head out and will warm into the upper 80s to low 90s this afternoon under partly sunny skies. A few spotty showers and storms with the heat of the day and will be most likely between 3pm and 7pm. These will be scattered storms and may have some thunder and lightning but we are not expecting any showers or storms to become dangerous.

Happy Father’s Day Weekend!

Saturday looks to be our wildest day looking ahead with a chance for showers and storms and a Slight Risk for severe storms. That’s elevated compared to other severe chances we’ve had this week. So, warm and muggy conditions heading back into the mid to maybe upper 80s and afternoon and evening showers and storms that could produce damaging wind. Right now, it looks like the greatest concern here in Metro Detroit is in the late, late afternoon and evening hours. We should get through most of tomorrow without a ton of trouble. But, eyes to the skies and radar late in the day.

Father’s Day may stay wet through the morning hours starting to clear up a bit by the lunch hour. That means improving conditions in the afternoon with temps in the low to mid 80s. Cooler air is moving in next week as highs dip down into the mid and upper 70s for a few days. You can track radar and stay ahead of these Father’s Day Weekend storms with our Local4Casters app.
