Foggy Friday in metro Detroit

Highs in the low 70s

DETROIT – Broken record forecasts like this are nothing but a good thing! What a day.

We have more clear skies and highs into the low 70s this afternoon. Although it's warm and mild, grab a sweatshirt as you head out to football games tonight. It cools off quickly once the sun sets at about 7 p.m.

The weekend starts out very nice with a little morning fog Saturday and then partly cloudy and low to mid 70s expected tomorrow afternoon. We will see a few more clouds Saturday ahead of some rain trying to work into Metro Detroit early Sunday. It looks like this rain line will mostly be a miss for us as we only expect a few light showers between 2 and 7am Sunday. Then we'll see a mix of sun and clouds with highs again near 65 to 70 degrees to end the weekend.

Our best chance for steady, widespread rain will start late Tuesday evening leading into Wednesday. We have Tigers' Playoff games those days so we will be watching those midweek developments very closely.
