Sunday mornings biggest meteorological obstacle for Detroiters will be patchy fog. Visibility just before and after sunrise will be well below two miles and in some cases near zero. Early riser is going to and from services or headed to Eastern market in downtown Detroit early to catch the best deals on Flower Day must remain alert and areas of low visibility. A spotty shower is possible with temperatures in the mild range of the 60s.

Sunday afternoon will be warmer. With enough sun, temperatures will rise to the low 80s. It remains muggy, and the air will still be unstable. So scattered showers and thunderstorms are still a possibility after 2pm ET.

As nightfall approaches Sunday evening, and approaching cold front will cause clouds to gather and more widespread showers to develop west of Southeast Michigan Detroit temperatures will fall back into the 70s and remains humid.

Those showers and thunderstorms arrive Sunday night and Monday morning. Overnight lows remain in the warm upper 60s.
