Forecast: Mostly sunny, cooler on Friday in metro Detroit

Even cooler air is on the way

DETROIT – We haven't had a ton of sunshine around today, but the clouds are on their way out.

And even cooler air is on its way. Look for clearing skies tonight with unseasonably cool lows in the mid 50s.

Then we hit cruise control for the rest of the forecast with one exception. Mostly sunny skies will take us through the weekend as highs inch up to average numbers just above 80. A cold front will sweep through late Sunday giving us just a slight chance at a shower.

And that's it for rain until possibly the end of the next work week. High temperatures will return to the 70s on Monday and that's where they will remain until late week.

We'll have some cool starts as well. Low temperatures will be in the 50s for the majority of the forecast.
