Forecast: Muggy with storm chance Wednesday in metro Detroit

DETROIT – We've hit 90 for the fourth time this year.

But so far the humidity has yet to smother us again. The muggy air will start creeping back into southeast Michigan overnight. Low temperatures by tomorrow morning will be in the mid-to-upper 60s.

Wednesday forecast:

We'll wake up to dry but muggy conditions on Wednesday morning and look for thunderstorms to develop in the afternoon. Even though they will be scattered, and not everyone will get wet, any storm that moves through could be packing some gusty winds. Temperatures will sneak back to around 90 again before storms arrive. Lows Wednesday night will be slightly cooler in the low-to-mid 60s.

Thursday forecast:

Thursday we'll begin a string of warm and less humid days that will take us into the weekend. Temperatures will be just a couple degrees above average through the stretch. And rain chances won't return until Sunday afternoon. We'll have a couple more shots at getting wet on Monday and Tuesday as well.

Looking into the middle of next week we can see another pattern change that will bring high temperatures into the 70s. Check out the 10 Day Forecast on the weather tab or on the Local4Casters app.
