Forecast: Warm, dry stretch continues in metro Detroit

DETROIT – Our warm and dry stretch of weather continues.

Temperatures are running above average. But humidity levels are low, and should stay that way at least through tomorrow.

Tonight we'll stay under mostly clear skies. Temperatures will drop all the way into the low and mid 60s, thanks to the very dry air.

Tuesday forecast:

Tuesday will be almost identical to today: plenty of sunshine, low humidity and toasty temps. Highs should touch 90 for an hour or two. Lows Tuesday night will be in the mid-to-upper 60s.

Wednesday forecast:

Wednesday is transition day. First, humidity returns. Next, clouds increase. All this sets the stage for scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures should be able to hit 90 before storms arrive.

Thursday forecast:

On Thursday temperatures will be slightly cooler and humidity drops again. We'll see very similar conditions through the upcoming weekend with our next chance of rain coming on Sunday.
