DETROIT – The first full weekend of August will be filled with warmth and sunshine for Detroit in Southeast Michigan. Simultaneously, there is a chance of rain. Slight possibility on Saturday, and a better one on Sunday.

Any isolated showers Friday evening with Shirley whither and disappear into the summer night. Friday night Lowes will be in the 60s under mostly clear skies.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and warm. A fresh batch of dry air will keep it comfortable during the afternoon as highs reach the low 80s. A couple of areas may see a shower or thunderstorm, but most neighborhoods will be dry.

Saturday night will be fair and the LIFO. Lowes will be in the 60s, once again.

Sunday brings another cold front and us a better chance of showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon. Daytime temps Will be in a low and middle 80s. Some rain maybe heavy at times, the window maybe gusty, and families always need to get inside whenever there is lightning.

It remains warm with loads of sunshine coming back for the early start of the first full week of August. I will be in the 80s on Monday. Temps will reach the upper 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
