DETROIT – Before getting to the forecast, just a quick heads up about something special that you may want to be a part of tomorrow on ClickOnDetroit.com.

I get a LOT of questions about our changing climate, so we are devoting an entire half-hour webcast just to answering your global warming questions.

Starting at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, and continuing until 1 p.m., I will be live in the Local 4 weather office to provide the answers you want. All you have to do is post your questions on the Local 4 Facebook page tomorrow, and I'll start answering them. There is no agenda here, and certainly no politics in this discussion…just scientific facts. And if I don't know the answer to a question, I'll be honest about that. There is a lot of confusion about global warming, and certainly a lot of misinformation out there. I'm here to clear that up for you. So please join me tomorrow for an education based upon YOUR questions…no preaching here.

Alright, on to a spectacular forecast!

In case you'll be lighting a candle to welcome the official start of fall (okay, maybe you won't), 10:29 this evening is the moment that astronomical event occurs. And it'll be a most inauspicious beginning to the transition season, with mostly clear skies, and lows dropping into the mid 40s. West-southwest wind at 2 to 5 mph.

The rest of this forecast is pretty simple, and really, really nice! Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies from Tuesday all the way through this coming weekend, with daytime highs in the low to mid 70s, and overnight lows generally in the low to mid 50s.

Wow -- that was pretty simple, wasn't it?
