Could we get a White Christmas?

Partly sunny skies Friday afternoon

Forecast for Friday, December 19, 2014

DETROIT – Be on the lookout for areas of freezing drizzle this morning. That threat goes away as we get later in the morning, but it can make bridges and overpasses slick. Clouds will linger today but drier air is on the move and that should help us see partly sunny skies into this afternoon.

Highs in the low to mid 30s Friday with light winds. Happy Weekend!

Highs will only hit mid 30s for the next few days, with cooler nights in the mid 20s.

The weekend looks very calm as storm systems crossing the country are elsewhere. Temps build Monday into the 40 degree range and that will get briefly more mild on Tuesday. But, early model data is hinting at a storm coming our way early in the middle of next week. It's mostly rain and wind but the lake effect snow machine may start cranking up on Wednesday.

Could we get a White Christmas? It's looking a little more likely but we will keep you posted.
