DETROIT - Temperatures early on Friday are dropping into the 30s in isolated areas in SE Michigan, so it's a crisp start with clear skies. The afternoon will be warmer with early September sunshine and high temps in the mid 70s and light winds S 5-10 m.p.h. A few showers and storms will be on the radar map in extreme northern Lower Michigan and north but no worries here. High School football games will be dry and clear with temps around 70 degrees this evening.
We are tracking a cold front sweeping in here late on Saturday. Before it gets here, temps will warm up to the low 80s storms are possible. Right now, it looks like after lunch and through the afternoon, we will see scattered rain and thundershowers but not everybody gets wet. This is a 30-40% chance which means one third of SE Michigan will see showers and storms around. We'll keep you updated if the chances intensify.
