Friday morning rain followed by cool, dry afternoon

Highs in the 50s

DETROIT – Friday morning will be cloudy, chilly and wet in Detroit and Southeast Michigan, but at least it is Friday. Temperatures will be in the middle 40s for early-risers. Drivers will need to be a little extra careful on any wet roads.

Friday afternoon will be a bit raw. An east wind will blow at 6 to 14 mph. Clouds and early afternoon rain will keep temperatures in the middle and upper 50s. The ride home from work will be drier, though, for motorists.

Friday night will be partly cloudy and chilly with lows in the low 40s in the city and upper 30s in the suburbs and rural areas.

The weekend is looking lovely, but it remains cool Saturday and Sunday will be brighter with daytime temps climbing to the middle 50s. It is great weather to get back into an exercise routine or for cross country meets or little league games.

Spring showers return Monday and early next week with highs barely above 50 degrees.
