Heat Advisory and storm chances for Wednesday

DETROIT – We didn't get much relief from the heat overnight with morning low temps in the mid to upper 70s. And, the Heat Advisory continues today with temps soaring into the low 90s this afternoon.

Heat indices or feels like temps will be in the middle 90s again.

An approaching cold front will bring a threat of strong to severe storms later today and tonight. The Storm Prediction Center has SE Michigan under a slight risk for severe weather after 2 or 3 pm. Strong wind gusts, hail, and heavy downpours are the main threats.

That cold front will also bring a change in temps Thursday. Highs temps will max out around or just shy of 80 degrees with a few morning showers and storms possible. Colder air will pour in here Friday with a dramatic drop in temps struggling to hit 60 degrees for highs.
