Heavy round of morning rain Friday

DETROIT – Highs will hit the low 80s today with a few scattered showers this afternoon.

Those showers drift north as we head into the evening hours, so our northern counties have the best chance for evening showers.

Because of the slow moving nature of this stalled out system, we all need to be ready for some light drizzle while heading out tonight... worst case scenario.

A warm front will arrive bringing warmer and more humid air again Saturday and Sunday.

That front may spark a few storms Saturday afternoon as highs climb again into the mid and upper 80s Saturday.

But, Sunday should remain dry with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s.

There is a slight chance for a shower but models now are calling for very little coverage or hope.

Labor Day will be mostly sunny and warm to start. Highs Monday hit the mid and upper 80s with increasing high clouds late in the day.

A line of storms will be moving our way but should hold off until after the BBQ Dinner with scattered storms possible late.
