Higher temps return Friday with partly cloudy skies

Highs back in the 40s

DETROIT – Friday morning will be partly to mostly cloudy and temperatures will rise through the 20s for early risers. During the morning drive will be dry, and temperatures will make it well above freezing by lunchtime.

Friday afternoon will continue to be dry and mild. High temperatures will make it into the middle and upper 40s.

Friday night will be chilly with partly cloudy skies and temperatures back to the 20s.

The weekend will have sunshine, but it will get colder. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the middle and upper 30s. Sunday's high temperatures will be in the 20s.

The Detroit area's next chance of slippery weather will be in the form of a rain and snow mix next Tuesday and Wednesday.
