Higher temps Saturday

Highs back in the 50s

DETROIT – Saturday morning will be dry with quite a few clouds as a warm front passes over Detroit and Southeast Michigan. It will remain dry. Temperatures will start in the middle and upper 30s.

Saturday afternoon will be partly sunny and milder. Highs will be in the middle and upper 50s. Tailgaters and Wolverine fans will have perfect fall weather to watch college football between Michigan and Nebraska in Ann Arbor. Everyone with outdoor plans to commemorate Veterans' Day early or to perform some raking will have agreeable conditions, too.

Saturday evening will be fair with temps falling to near 50 degrees.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy and colder with lows in the middle and low 30s.

Chillier air returns Sunday with mostly sunny skies. Afternoon temps will be in the middle 40s. Any Detroit Lions supporters traveling to Chicago will encounter the same weather for their game against the Bears at Soldiers Field.

Veterans' Day, Monday will become cloudy again with slippery weather in the forecast. A chilly rain will fall with daytime temps near 45 degrees. At nightfall, snowflakes will mix with the rain drops. This is in advance of even colder air.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be even colder. Afternoon highs will be in the 30s and nighttime lows will be in the 20s. Skies will be sunnier.
