Hot and humid weather on Tuesday

Steamy start to September

DETROIT – More patchy fog this Tuesday morning as temps are mainly in the upper 50s north, to mid 60s for most of Metro Detroit's morning lows. We should see the fog lift or thin out through the mid morning leading to more hazy sunshine.

Highs will warm into the upper 80s today with light winds SW 5-10 mph and humidity is the rise. So, upper 80s will feel a few degrees warmer.

The heat and increased humidity will lead to a few very scattered heat-induced thundershowers… mainly down near the Ohio and Indiana borders. It's going to be a hot week so we need to watch ourselves, our neighbors, and our pets.

We should see some 90 degree temps around Metro Detroit by tomorrow and still on the muggy side. Mostly sunny skies after some morning hazy and patchy fog with calm winds and a slight chance for a few pop up thundershowers with the peak heat of the day. Most of us will stay dry.

There are no great rain threats this week, but a few isolated storms are possible Thursday. Again, hot and humid with hazy sunshine with a weak cool front approaching. That brings the threat for a storm or two into Metro Detroit into the afternoon. It looks very warm and mostly calm heading through the Labor Day Weekend.
