Hot Labor Day with possible storms

DETROIT – Happy Labor Day!

Temps will soar to near 90 degrees again this afternoon and the humidity will make it feel even warmer.

Your BBQ plans may get a bit wet as scattered evening storms rumble through.

Tuesday will be warm still in the mid 80s and still humid.

We will likely see a few lingering storms early in the morning and then again late tomorrow.

Some of the heaviest or more widespread soaking rain of the week comes in late Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday's cold front will bring heavy rain showers most of the day and cooling temps.

Highs will only be in the upper 70s and will be even cooler if we're in the low clouds and rain most of the day which is expected.

This is a stronger cool front and will drop temps later this week. Conditions dry out towards the end of the week after the Hump Day soaker.

Thursday and Friday will only be low to mid 70s and partly cloudy.

We may see a few showers late, late Friday and/or early Saturday but most of the weekend ahead is cooler and dry. With Holiday storms likely, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps to stay ahead of the summer storms.
