How long will this awesome summer weather last in metro Detroit?

What about the weekend?

DETROIT – Typical summer weather sure was scarce around here for the first half of the summer, but the second half has started out with much more of the weather we're accustomed to.

Although the fair weather cumulus clouds we saw pop up today will fade after sunset, some cirrus clouds will still be around, so let's just call our sky cover partly cloudy for the overnight hours. Lows in the low 60s near Detroit in our Urban Heat Island, and in the 50s outside of the Heat Island (14° Celsius for you Canadians). Calm air means no breeze coming in the windows tonight.
