DETROIT – Labor Day Weekend will feel like summer in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Although there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, it will not be a washout.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: APPALACHIAN ST. VS. MICHIGAN
It will be warm and mostly cloudy with some sun during the first quarter with temps near 80 degrees. Families will need to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Skies will darken by the start of the fourth quarter with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Roads will be wet after 3pm for the ride home. Heavy downpours, gusty winds and lightning are possible. Watch out for ponding and large puddles on streets and highways. Plan for alternate routes around high standing water.

Wednesday and the rest of next week will be sunnier and remain warm. Highs will be near 80 and lows will be in the low and middle 60s.
