Light snow showers Saturday evening, cloudy Sunday

Only a dusting of snow expected, heavier snow coming Tuesday

Light snow showers are moving through parts of SE Michigan Saturday night but won't accumulate more than a dusting or a coating in spots. Northern suburbs are the focus on radar for snow but it will start slowly moving south into Metro Detroit too. Light snow chances and low 20s overnight with wind chills dipping into the low teens by morning. Sunday afternoon will be cloudy with mid 30s and west winds 8-13 mph. We may see a few brief light snow showers in the morning and midday before the dry air wins out.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few peeks of sunshine and mid to upper 30s. Tuesday is the day to watch with a Winter Storm bearing down on the area. It looks like this will start as a wintry mix just after lunch and then become moderate to heavy snow at times through Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.
