Local 4Casters: Cold returns Saturday night

Spring starts with cold front

DETROIT – This weekend is Detroit's first full weekend of spring. There will be sunshine, and Saturday will be mild ahead of a cold front. Sunday will be chilly after the cold front passes.

Saturday night will be cold and cloudy with lows in the 20s.

Sunday will be chillier after a cold front passes and wind direction switches to the northwest pulling in colder air. Temps go from the 20s in the morning to only the middle and upper 30s in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny by the end of the day.

Monday will be chilly, too, with highs in the middle 30s. Fortunately, temps rise back to the 40s on Tuesday and to the 50s on Wednesday. Wednesday has a chance of showers.
