Local 4Casters say sunny, cool conditions continue this week

DETROIT – Our nights will continue to get chillier as we head into the weekend, but at least we've got a lot of sunshine in the forecast ahead.

What few clouds stick around on Wednesday night will continue to move out. That noticeable north breeze will decrease somewhat, but will still be around overnight. Lows will be in the 40s area-wide.

Thursday, expect more sunshine, more breezy conditions, but cooler temperatures. Highs will barely get above 60 in the afternoon.

Friday won't look or feel much different. Mostly sunny skies will bring temperatures from the low 40s in the morning to 60 in the afternoon.

On Saturday, we'll start noticing a transition as we watch Hurricane Joaquin approach the Atlantic coast. Clouds will be on the increase late in the day, keeping high temperatures only in the 50s!

There's an outside shot at a shower Saturday, but better chances exist on Sunday. Cloudy skies will finish our weekend and take us into Monday.

There is a LOT of uncertainty with the track of Joaquin and what effects we'll see here in southeast Michigan, so our weekend forecast may change a lot over the next few days.
