Cool night, near 80 Saturday in Metro Detroit

DETROIT – The second Tigers-Royals game begins at 7:08 p.m. ET, and the weather will be just as spectacular.

Skies will be fair as the city cools down. Tigers jackets and hats will be worn throughout the stands with temps falling into the 60s. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s.

Winning weather remains for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, and each afternoon will be warmer with highs near 80. It will be downright delightful for the 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise, the Susan G. Komen 3 Day walk to fight breast cancer and Greekfest 2013.

Families from near and far will have mostly sunny skies for move-in day at Southeast Michigan colleges and universities. Also, the Tigers and Royals do battle each day.

With fewer summer weekends left, anyone traveling Up North? Good weather news is shared by all. The sun will shine brightly Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the Upper Peninsula to Traverse City, Gaylord, Mt. Pleasant and Alpena.

Temps will be in the warm sector, too. Each day will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.
