Metro Detroit weather forecast: Chilly start in the 30s

A chilly start in the low and mid 30s around Detroit and some upper 20s to low 30s in the suburbs early on your Wednesday morning. Clear skies quickly give way to overcast skies moving in, followed by rain. Rain showers could start around lunch time, although the dry air will likely win out through the morning hours. Look for light rain around late morning into the afternoon and heavier rain tonight. There will be periods of steady, light rain this afternoon with a few breaks in the actions. Highs will be stuck in the mid and upper 40s with a cold wind ENE 5-15 mph gusting a bit harder at times. Again, some heavier rain showers will move in later tonight and overnight.

Thursday starts wet with lighter rain through the morning and possibly into the lunch hour. The rain will end by early afternoon, but  clearing skies will be slow keeping us mostly cloudy most of the afternoon with highs around 50 degrees and a little breezy NW 5-15 mph.

Friday looks quite nice with sunshine and highs in the upper 50s. High clouds move in late and a few showers are possible early Saturday morning. That means a few drips for early tailgaters in East Lansing for Michigan vs. Michigan State. The game will be dry and we will warm well into the 60s with warming winds SW 10-20 mph. Sunday looks mostly dry and Monday should be gorgeous for Halloween with sunshine and low 60s.
