Weather forecast: Rounds of rain Thursday in SE Michigan

DETROIT – Flood Watch issued for Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne through Friday morning.

A damp start to your Thursday around Metro Detroit with spotty showers on the lighter side as we anticipate heavier showers later in the day.

Another morning concern is a little wintry mix for our extreme North Zone. Watch out for some wet snowflakes mixing in along and north of I-69 through the morning drive. Get ready for some heavy downpours and scattered thunderstorms rolling through this afternoon and this evening. Temps in the low to mid 40s today and gusty breezes ENE 8-18 mph G 25 mph.

We will see more soaking rain and thundershowers into Friday morning which could make the commute a bit dangerous tomorrow morning. Rain showers should start to move out as we head into the afternoon hours and temps will move up into the 50s under cloudy skies and a few spotty showers.

The clouds may take a while to clear Friday night into early Saturday, but we will see some weekend sunshine. We should see 50s all weekend with partly sunny skies Saturday and mostly sunny skies Sunday. There is a chance for showers again Sunday night into early Monday.
