Metro Detroit weather forecast: Patchy fog with temps in the 50s

Patchy fog this morning as temps cool down into the upper 40s and low 50s. That fog will lift by 8 or 9 a.m. and the sun will feel wonderful today bringing Wednesday highs into the upper 60s to low 70s with light winds SW 5-10 mph. We will see high clouds increasing this evening ahead of a good rain chance overnight into Thursday.

A few showers possible early Thursday around Metro Detroit, and even better rain chances through the mid morning and afternoon. This system will bring heavier rain and thundershowers south into Ohio but we are on the northern fringe and do expect showers, especially in the extreme southeast corner of the state and into Southern Ontario. Rain will likely linger into the evening hours too, but on the much lighter side.

Cooler air arrives Friday and that brings the lake effect conditions into play with showers possible, mainly in our North Zone with winds from the NW 7-12 mph. Other than that, only partly sunny Friday with highs in the low to maybe mid 50s. The cooler air sticks around through the weekend mainly in the 40s and 50s after cooler morning lows in the 30s. The Fall Season brings constant changes so, make sure you have the Local4Casters app bringing the weather with you.
