Metro Detroit forecast: Wet start with temps in the 70s

DETROIT –  It’s moving day in Metro Detroit as we head into cooler weather later in the day.

Scattered morning showers to start your Wednesday with temps near 70 degrees as you head out. A cold front will sweep through later this afternoon and the weather will be a bit unsettled through lunch with nothing more than scattered, light showers hit or miss. We’ll feel the cooler air moving in late, late afternoon or evening with the potential of drifting down into the 50s by tomorrow morning

Thursday shower chances are mainly in our North Zone with lake enhanced showers off of Lake Huron. Doesn’t look like most of Metro Detroit will see much of anything but clouds pouring in from those north winds coming down off of the big lakes on the east side of the state. Cooler temps with highs only in the low 70s with winds NNE 5-15 mph.

Friday through Labor Day look mostly sunny and dry. Morning lows from here on out will mainly be in the 50s with highs in the 70s through Saturday.  Highs back into the 80s by Sunday and Monday.
