Metro Detroit under slight risk for severe weather Monday

Another day feeling like 100 with storms possible

DETROIT – It'll be a third straight day of 90 degree plus heat in metro Detroit on Monday.

The morning will be warm and muggy with temperatures in the 70s.

Eighty degree readings will occur as early as 9am in parts of Southeast Michigan.  

Afternoon highs will be near 95 with heat indices 100 or greater.  Metro Detroit is under a slight risk for severe weather Monday. 

Showers and thunderstorms are possible during the PM rush hour and evening.  Some may have heavy downpours, lightning and gusty winds.

Monday night will dry out with lows near 70.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, warm and more comfortable with highs near 85.  Wednesday and the rest of the work week will be warm with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s with on and off showers.
