Metro Detroit weather: Mild and dry Tuesday

DETROIT – It’s a near miss for morning rain because it has stayed to our south.

That being said, a few showers near the Ohio Border are possible before sunrise and that’s about it. Your Tuesday will be cloudy and a bit cooler than yesterday due to those clouds and breezes coming in from the north 5-12 mph today. The clouds will begin to move out from north to south through the mid afternoon as highs hang in the upper 40s to low 50s this afternoon and evening.

Wednesday will be very pleasant, although we’ll still be dealing with a cooler breeze NE 5-12 mph. Morning temps in the 30s and highs near 50 degrees with mostly sunny skies turning partly cloudy at times.  Metro Detroit will see dry conditions for the first half of Thursday before more rain moves in. There is some thought that the precipitation may come in during the morning hours and could even be a little wintry mix, but most model data suggests an afternoon rain chance going into the evening and overnight.

Friday may start cloudy and a bit wet with dry air moving back in through the afternoon and into the weekend. Highs are well into the 50s Friday and beyond with dry conditions through your weekend. You can always stay ahead of the Spring showers with our Local4Casters app.
