Metro Detroit weather: Rain chances and warming to 60s later

DETROIT – A mild morning with temps in the upper 30s and cloudy skies as you head out.

A weakening line of rain is moving in from the west and southwest which will likely hit our west and north zone later this morning after 7 or 8am. We can all expect a line of rain showers moving through later this morning lingering into the afternoon on the east side.

High temps will still manage to get into the upper 50s with the rain threat, and if we stay on the dry side of this weakening line of showers, we may see some low 60s around Metro Detroit. Winds are light SW 5-10 mph.

Wednesday forecast

A few early morning rain showers are possible, but fog and drizzle is a better bet to start your Wednesday. Temps remain mild in the 40s early and then as conditions clear and improve, we will likely see mid 60s for highs on your Hump Day. Skies clearing through the late morning and afternoon support a very nice warming tomorrow.

Thursday forecast

Thursday will be another very nice day with highs near 60 degrees and sunshine leading to high clouds. Those high clouds are ahead of rain and thundershowers moving in Friday. The wet weather may start late Thursday Night, but prepare for a wet and possibly stormy end of the work and school week. You can always take the weather with you with the Local4Casters app.
