Metro Detroit weather: Snowflakes washed out by rain

Temperatures rise into low 40s by daybreak

DETROIT – Snowflakes in spots are getting washed out by rain.

Temperatures will remain steady or rise slightly into the low 40s by daybreak. That will turn any remaining snowflakes to liquid before midnight. But, we will see quite a bit of rain overnight.

Total rainfall of more than an inch is expected in spots. Check out our 4ZONE Forecast to see the breakdown.

After some light scattered showers during the morning commute, most of us will stay cloudy through the day. Expect a few afternoon sprinkles in our North Zone. Highs won't move much -- they'll be in the mid- to upper 40s by afternoon, with breezy conditions as well

Temperatures will start moving on up Friday. Highs will make it to the mid-50s with plenty of sunshine.

Beyond that, plenty of 60s are in our future, including Halloween, which isn’t looking scary in the least. Check out the numbers in our 10-day forecast.
