DETROIT – It took most of the day, but we’re finally dry. If we see any snow overnight it will be a few flakes with no accumulation.
Snow totals were primarily in the 3-5 inch range, with most of the snow in our Metro Zone and extending a bit into the West Zone.
Winds will be breezy overnight at 10-20 mph. That might whip around some of the dry snow that's already on the ground, but shouldn't be harsh enough to cause visibility problems.
Temperatures in the teens will make untreated and unplowed roads slick through Monday night. Brisk winds will put wind chills in single digits.
On Tuesday, there will be some narrow but healthy snow bands coming off Lake Huron across the thumb. This will mainly be an issue for our North Zone. Some minor accumulations are possible, but only a fraction of what we saw Monday. Highs will stay in the low 20s.
Much of the 10-day forecast is actually close to normal for this time of year.
