Mild, but rainy Friday on tap

It will stay mild all morning

DETROIT – Warm and windy this morning and there are a few areas of fog and drizzle likely for the early part of Friday.

It will stay mild all morning as we await a cold front moving out of Wisconsin.

As that front approaches, we have our best chance for a little more widespread light rain late this morning through the lunch hour today.

Highs near 50° come early as cooler air slowly moves in this afternoon.

This system will keep breezy conditions in SE Michigan and the only threat for a wintry mix will be north towards the Thumb Region midday.

Saturday is tricky as computer models call for a chance of a wintry mix midday especially in our southern counties closer to the Ohio border.

That could be a bit more snow but it doesn't look real likely if you live north of I-94. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with highs climbing back into the upper 30s to near 40°.  The outlook for Sunday and Monday (opening day at Comerica) looks good in the upper 40s Sunday to near 60° Monday.

There is a chance for a light shower Monday night, which should hold off until well after the Tiger's game. Get the latest radar images, and your all-important weekend forecast information on clickondetroit.com and on the Weather links:
