Upper 20s today with some wind in metro Detroit

Highs in the upper 20s

DETROIT – Happy Friday! It was a nice and mild start with morning temps in the 20s, but a cold front is on its way.

Temps will stabilize in the mid to upper 20s all day and the winds will shift in the cooler direction WNW 5-12 m.p.h. We will have mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies as we watch light snow passing just to our north.

We will hit the 30s all weekend. In fact, we could get to near 40 degrees Saturday and/or Sunday. We start the weekend a bit breezy but nice with clouds and a little sun with temps in the mid to upper 30s.

Warmer winds SW 10-20 m.p.h. and a little bit of afternoon sunshine will make it possible to hit 40 degrees in some Metro Detroit neighborhoods.

Very light snow showers are possible Saturday evening and early Sunday. And depending on temps, we could see some areas of drizzle and freezing mixed in. It will not be a weekend soaker by any stretch, but clouds may keep us only in the low to mid 30s.

Cooler air will return next week with a couple of snow chances.. especially on Tuesday. Get your complete 7 Day forecast on ClickOnDetroit.com and on the Weather links:
