Mild morning with some patchy fog Thursday

Highs in the mid 70s

DETROIT – Clouds this morning are keeping the air very mild around Metro Detroit with temps near 60° as you head out the door.

There are a few areas of patchy fog coming and going especially in more rural and hilly areas. But the sun will come battling back in the late morning and afternoon so make sure you grab the shades.

High temps will again be a bit cooler than average or we'd like… only in the mid 70s. The early clouds and winds NE 5-10 mph keep our temps from nearing that elusive 80 degree range.

So, we're all wondering about the weather for the big Fourth of July weekend.  Friday looks nice and with highs leaving the 70s heading into the low 80s and mostly sunny.

The weather gets better and better Saturday and Sunday with tons of sun and low to mid 80s. Summer is back just in time for the Holiday Weekend ahead.

We will start next week nice and dry but storms return on Tuesday.
