DETROIT -

A few morning showers are working across SE Michigan this Monday but most of the heavier pockets of precip are drying up. So, it’s a light rain with isolated thunder through the morning drive and then we will watch a stationary front south for more rain chances later on. Highs will hit lower 80s and it will feel a bit more humid through the afternoon hours. There is a chance for a few showers and storms with the afternoon heating and an approaching front. Many of us won’t see any rain and for those who do get wet, don’t expect anything too heavy.  A few showers may produce some gusty winds and lightning.

Tuesday’s weather will be very similar with lows in the upper 60s and highs climbing into the low or mid 80s. There will be scattered storms racing across Michigan in the early to mid afternoon bringing some heavy downpours and lightning. Right now, the Storm Prediction Center does NOT have us listed for a threat of severe weather. Just keep your eyes to the skies. The weather will be much nicer as a cool front moves through on Wednesday. Highs midweek will likely be in the upper 70s with lower humidity and very comfortable air. Wednesday and Thursday will be in the upper 70s and that just may be the case Friday too. Computer models are not confident about the weekend ahead as some data suggests cooler with showers, while others bring us back into the low 80s Friday and Saturday.
