Monday reaches into 70s with sun, clouds

We could be in the 80s by Tuesday

The morning doom and gloom is giving way to some sunshine today. So, we will see a nice mix of sun and clouds the rest of the afternoon with light winds and highs near 70 degrees.

With the afternoon heating, we will see a few more clouds rolling in but we will be dry the rest of the day.

We may see some patchy fog again tomorrow morning with lows in the low to mid 50s. But the warm winds will be picking up and our temps will respond with highs near 80 degrees. The winds will be gusty at times SW 10-20 mph throughout your Tuesday afternoon. It's a bit unusual for the start of October but certainly not unheard of.

The warming trend continues into Wednesday with more sunshine and highs near 80 degrees once again. There is a chance for a few showers on Thursday and possibly Friday morning. Highs at the end of the week will fall into the lower 70s.

Saturday's forecast is a bit tricky as the weekend always brings tons of outdoor planning in SE Michigan.

Right now, it looks like a cool front will bring some showers our way by late afternoon or early evening. It's a bit early to lock in on the exact timing so stick with Local 4 News and clickondetroit.com as we get closer to the weekend as well.
