More scattered showers coming to Metro Detroit

Expect more of the same for beginning of week

DETROIT – More scattered showers are making Sunday's forecast.

Sunday will start with a few mostly light showers, followed by a midday break, then scattered showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon.  Highs will be in the low 80s.

Any lingering evening showers and thunderstorms should end, and it's going to be another steamy, uncomfortable sleeping night if you don't have air conditioning, with lows in the upper 60s to near 70.

Same ol' story on Monday and Tuesday:  humid with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms, and highs in the mid to even upper 80s.

Relief from the heat and humidity will finally arrive in the form of a cold front on Wednesday.  That front could bring a line of severe storms across the area, but behind it will be cooler, drier air for the end of the week.
