The potential for scattered storms will extend from the overnight hours Thursday night into Friday morning, with most activity ending by midday.
With a bit of luck, most of the afternoon could be dry, although it'll be decidedly steamy, which is why I cannot categorically take a stray thunderstorm out of the afternoon forecast. Highs in the low 80s, with a light east-southeast wind.

Today's computer models continue to show a strong upper level ridge gradually building in this weekend and lasting at least into Monday, which should squash most thunderstorm activity. It's going to be continued warm and humid Saturday afternoon, so thunderstorm chances aren't zero due to the instability we'll see develop, but chances are many of us won't see a storm. We have a better chance of thunderstorms late Wednesday into Wednesday night, as a cold front approaches. It'll still be warm and humid ahead of the front, with highs in the low 80s.
