Misty morning with chance for sunshine later

Puddles and ponding possible on the roads

DETROIT – A few very light rain showers early this morning are coming to a quick end but the roads are still very damp as storm totals dumped ½ inch or more of liquid in some areas.

You'll find puddles and ponding on the roads and a bit of early morning mist and fog in spots.

The big question today, is how quickly will we clear out? Clouds will linger into the early afternoon and we stay mostly cloudy, highs will stay in the mid 50s with only a slight chance for a few afternoon sprinkles today.

Some forecast information is leaning toward partly to mostly sunny skies later today leading to 60° around Metro Detroit. We'll hope for the later!

Wednesday looks like another good day in the low to mid 50s with a good deal of sunshine.

But, Thursday will shoot into the mid 60s with warm winds cranking from the SW 15-25 mph or stronger.

There is also a chance for rain and thunder late Thursday and early Friday.

Friday looks dry after a few morning showers and a very nice end to the work and school week.

Temperatures around SE Michigan will stay mild, just north or south of 60° later this week and into the weekend.

Right now, Saturday looks dry and the better of the two weekend days with some rain on Sunday.
