Mostly sunny, warm Monday on the way

Highs in the low 80s

DETROIT – Awesome weather continues after the weekend.

Monday morning may be hazy, but sunshine returns with temps rising from morning lows in the 50s and 60s to afternoon highs in the low 80s. A southwesterly wind will blow at 5 to 10 mph with warmer weather Tuesday through Friday.

Monday night will be fair and mild with lows in the low 60s.

The wind from the southwest will blow hotter air into Detroit and Southeast Michigan Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon will be warmer with highs in the middle 80s. Skies will be mostly sunny, again. Wednesday will be bright and hotter with highs in the upper 80s.

Sprinklers will be needed the beginning of the work-week. A cold front arrives and passes over the region Thursday and Friday. Mother nature provides the moisture with showers and thunderstorms each day. The temperature will drop, as well. Thursday's highs will be in the middle 80s. Friday afternoon's temps will be near 80.

By next weekend, sunshine returns with daytime temps in the low 80s.
